MARLIN provided Program Management and Construction Inspection Services for canal dredging in Miami-Dade County for the Florida Department of Environmental Resource Management.
MARLIN performed an assessment of existing conditions and proceeded to layout the most practical and cost efficient method to conduct the dredging and widening that included hydraulic pipeline, plain suction, mechanical dredging and a combination of suction and mechanical dredging depending on the existing soil strata.
MARLIN inspected the sediment storage and disposal which included the inspection of on-site staging areas as well as direct loading from the canal barges onto trucks. MARLIN also inspected and made recommendations for embankment restoration, erosion control and soil stabilization.
